I was only two to four years old when I saw my first Spirit and I thought at the time that it was a natural thing to do. It was not until years later I realised that not everyone had the same ability and since that time I have always had a fascination with this wonderful phenomenom. I am proud to call myself a medium and am always delighted to answer questions on the subject. Of course I do not have all the answers as I am still learning and always will be until I go back to the light myself.

Mediums use their gift to link with minds in other dimensions.We are known as mediums because that is where we are in a sense (in the middle)

Below are the three main ways the medium will  get information from spirit. Not all mediums have all three, but it does happen.

Clairvoyance.  It simply means clear vision in French. A person who is Clairvoyant can see Spirits.  This usually means they see the person communicating in their minds eye, which can be in the form of a picture or like watching a television in your head.  Some Mediums can see Spirits with their Physical eyes as if there is another person in the same room as themselves.  The Medium will then describe what they see to whoever is having a reading.  It is not always people that Mediums see, it can also be animals or even objects and symbols.  Some objects will be given to the Medium to be interpreted symbolically.

Clairaudience. With this form of Mediumship the person hears the spirit communicating with them.  Again this can be voices in the Mediums head or thoughts running through the mind.  Sometimes a Medium will actually hear someone talking to them with their physical ears.  The medium will not only "hear" voices but can also be given a song or some music. 

Clairsentience.  This probably is the most common form and experienced very often by people just beginning to understand the gift that they have.  This type of Mediumship takes the form of the Medium sensing a spirit presence, usually through feelings.  Mediums often feel as if they are being touched, feelings of cold or slight breezes wafting past them.  Sometimes they can have the feeling of cobwebs on their face or can even smell fragrances associated with the spirit presence of their time on earth.

My understanding of mediumship has changed over the years and I now believe that we are all capable of linking with the Spirit world. No one is more special than anyone else. We have all had dreams of our loved ones in the realm of Spirit at some point or another and that is their way of linking with us while we are in a relaxed state and not able to question what we have experienced. The only difference in my way of thinking is that some of us who are able to link with spirit during our everyday life have honed the talent/gift what ever you may wish to call it to a point where we understand it more clearly and are able to use this during our waking hours. It is my belief that eventually through evolution and teaching that everyone will be able to connect with the spirit world and understand that death is mearly a transition and not the end.I am not saying for one moment that anyone could now call themselves a working medium and go out into the world and start to give messages to others, but we can all sit in our own homes and be still for a while and talk to our loved ones who we miss so dearly and just maybe if we are patient enough we might just get an answer in our mind to confirm to us that they are no further away than they were when here in the physical body.

I hope this information I have given you will encourage you to try for yourself and to feel the closeness that so many of you feel you have lost through physical death and that it will bring comfort to you and help to heal your aching heart.

Mediums are not always right either, after all we are still humans and are still learning and can still make mistakes. When looking to train your mediumistic skills it is always best to find a good teacher who is down to earth and honest and someone who does not keep telling you how brilliant they are . There is nothing worse than an overactive ego.

There are some fantastic mediums in this country alone who are only too willing to teach. If you want to hone your skills as a medium it is always advisable to join a development group sometimes known as a circle where you will be guided from the beginning and taught the ethics of mediumship.

Mediums are not fortune tellers either so no good asking for the lottery numbers, we would all be rich otherwise. !!

If you are seeking a medium it is always best to go to one who has been personally recommended. A medium should never predict a death or demand a huge fee before the reading. There are unfortunately a lot of charlatans who prey on people who are grieving and they do give a bad name to genuine mediums.It is always wise to ask your local spiritualist church to recommend a medium if you do not know anyone who has been to see one, they normally hold a list of names and are only too willing to help.

This is my main Guide. He is known to me by the name of "Lazarus". I have been aware of him since a young child, but was very scared when he first showed up as he is so tall and obviously not of this dimension. He is a  being of light and shows me himself in a physical form for my benefit as he feels I would not have understood him as he is if he had showed himself to me as the pure energy that he is. He is very powerful, but also full of unconditional love for me. He also has a great sense of humour and I love him dearly.
